The musical path traveled by Samaël gives him this surprising musical and instrumental versatility. Watch for his growing rise towards recognition of his immense talent as a composer and guitarist, an emerging professional artist, worthy of the big stages. He is joined by two musicians, Jeremy and Sébastien, artists from Edmundston who are passionate about jazz and blues music.
The group has participated in various cultural events for more than 20 years. Under the direction of Dany Provencher, the various cohorts of Stage band in recent years have had several successes with numerous prizes in Canadian and American competitions.
Paul Wilfred (Moncton): Paul Wilfred LeBlanc is a guitarist-singer originally from Grand Falls but now living in Moncton. He is at ease in several musical universes, including the blues. He has some original pieces to his credit. The classics of the blues will be there with this musician who is also part of a tribute to the Canadian group, Tragically Hip.
Rockin”Blues (Dégelis): These musicians from Dégelis and Rimouski are bursting with energy on stage. For nearly 20 years, Dany Provencher (saxophone) and Stéphane Michaud (guitar/vocals) have been playing a mix of blues and Southern Rock. and Classic Rock. One thing is certain, they have fun performing and leave no one indifferent.
McKinley, Morrison & Williams (Fredericton): these three musicians from the provincial capital (Josh McKinley/guitar, John Morrison/drums and Darrell Williams/bass) have been together for five years and offer a varied style of jazz fusion and funk tunes. In 2019, they won Group of the Year for St. John Music Awards and the title of Stingray Rising Star at the Harvest Blues Festival in Fredericton.
Hightide Blues Band (Bathurst): Formed since 2018, this group of five musicians from the Bathurst region includes singer, Lyne Michaud, originally from Baker-Brook, and offers a sound with influences from the “Texas Blues” A group that is increasingly gaining ground on the blues scene in New Brunswick.
Brasil ’60: Around Jobim, Getz and Gilberto (Quebec): This trio’s show offers a show dedicated to the meeting of jazz and Brazilian music of the 60s. Juan Cruz (guitar), Alain Baril (saxophone) and Jean-Étienne Joubert (percussion) draw their repertoire from three emblematic figures of the style, pianist, singer and composer Antonio Carlos Jobim, saxophonist Stan Getz and composer Joao Gilberto. A step back in time, as if we were there…!
Uptown Sinners (Moncton): Recently formed in 2021, this group of five musicians from the Moncton area includes two guitarists born in the Northwest, Pierre Couturier, from Saint-Jacques, and Cédric Thériault, from Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska. It is in a modern blues that they cover classics by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton or even B.B. King. A breath of fresh air on the New Brunswick music scene!
